WEBStart - Fast Track to Internet Success.
The 'Net', the 'Web', the 'Information Superhighway' involves a number of essential elements that are required to deploy effective and secure Internet solutions. These include Networks, Gateways, Firewalls, Web Servers, LINKWAY, Web Page Development, Internet Application Development Tools and Telecommunications. These represent the capital outlay just to implement a basic infrastructure to allow you 'get in the game'. From there you will need to develop your Web Strategy. You will need to create a basic Corporate Image. And you will need to determine where best you can integrate customers (new and existing), suppliers, analysts, partners and internal departments such as sales, marketing, finance, purchasing, production, personnel and administration into the plethora of available data and information.
So what does CSL's WEBStart Program offer you?
WEBStart is the only Facilities Managed Service available to organisations that recognise the need to deliver immediate Web capabilities to users over Internet, Intranet or Extranet services. WEBStart offers freedom of deployment by allowing an organisation to concentrate on application deliverables rather than technical infrastructure.
WEBStart offers the following as standard within the Facilities Managed Service:
- ISDN Service from BT, mounted close to the Client's HP e3000.
- LANBridge connecting the Client's HP e3000 LAN to the ISDN Service.
- Dedicated ISDN Line at the CSL Datacentre for the exclusive use of the Client.
- LANBridge connecting the ISDN Service to the CSL Managed WebServer.
- Obtain and register Client relevant Domain Name.
- Provide Secure HP e3000 Linkway® CONNECT Server License for dedicated use by WEBStart.
- Use of CSL WebServer to provide a Secure, Fire-walled Service to the Internet, and use of the existing CSL Internet Services. This Service includes the Provision of Amazon Web Development Software, Support of all WEBStart components, Fully managed Back-up and Security.
- WEBStart provides facilities for use as the Gateway to External Electronic Mail and for Web Page Deployment.
- WEBStart includes the provision of all Back-up Services provided to existing CSL Facilities Managed Clients. Disaster Recovery Services include a remote computer site and appropriate plans for re-siting in the event of a catastrophe.
- WEBStart Clients are responsible for usage charges on their dedicated ISDN lines, reflecting the direct relationship to the usage levels of the Web Application. However, should usage exceed the cost of a leased line, CSL will manage the process of installing a permanent link to further reduce the costs to the Client.
- CSL and Intelligent Environments, through their co-operation agreement will provide Specification Consultancy, Application Development Programming resources and Implementation and Training Services at agreed rates.
